Plain-language summary
This covers everyone who touches SeatMaxx. Committees who run events, and buyers who pick up tickets.
- Buyers: we ask for your name, email, and phone (if you pick text delivery) so the ticket lands with you. We never sell that to anyone.
- Your card details never touch our servers. Stripe handles them; we only see the last 4 digits of the card you used, which is what appears on your receipt.
- Committees see what they need to run their event — your name, email, and the seats you bought. Not your card, not your phone unless you chose text delivery.
- SMS marketing needs a separate opt-in. If you picked text delivery for your ticket, that's transactional (you consented by buying); marketing messages need the second checkbox at checkout. STOP replies opt you out of everything.
- We keep records as long as tax and dispute rules require — usually 7 years for financial records. Contact us to see or delete what we have on you outside that window.
- Committees own their buyer list. They can export it and use it under their own privacy policy. Ask the committee if you want off theirs.
